Bucks County is named after the English county of Buckinghamshire and comprises 604.12 square miles of rolling hills. The county seat is Doylestown. The summers tend to be hot and with the humidity tending to be high during July and August. There is nothing more beautiful than fall and spring, both mild, pleasant and colorful. The rainfall pattern is generally spread throughout the year, with between six and nine wet days in every month. Winters are cold, but seldom does the mercury drop below freezing. Snow is unpredictable, some winters experiencing little and others characterized by continual snowstorms.
